Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to join the association?

Yes, every LeMans Village owner is automatically a member of the Homeowners’ Association. Payment of dues is mandatory as this is the only source of revenue for the Association and is used to pay for liability insurance, maintenance of landscaping and pool, property management, taxes, utilities, legal and accounting expenses, etc. Dues are currently $175 per month. Association dues are due no later than the 10th of the month. After the 10th, a late fee of $25 will be assessed. If your dues are 2 months overdue, you will be assessed an additional $50 and if you are 3 months late you will be assessed an additional $75, etc. HOA dues are to be mailed to Shannon Rodi Nash, LeMans Village 671 Rosa Ave suite 100, Metairie, La 70005.

  • Are pets permitted?

Yes, pets are permitted, but they are not allowed in the gated pool area unless on a private patio. City and Parish Leash Laws are in effect on our grounds, and they prohibit tying or chaining animals. There is no designated area in which to curb pets. Owners will be expected to clean up after any pet defecating on any part of the Common Grounds.

  • What about parking?

Vehicles are to be parked only in designated areas (each unit has at least two spots). No vehicles are to be parked on green areas, temporarily or permanently, ever. A parking space/driveway shall not be used for other than parking one (1) vehicle per parking spot. Care should be taken when entering and exiting driveways so that lava rocks don’t end up in the street. Parking on Paradis Lane is limited to the hours of 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Parking on Paradis Lane is strictly prohibited from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

  • What trash pick-up?

Pick-up days are Monday and Thursday. Trash should not be put out for collection any sooner than the night before the pick-up day and should be placed in the containers provided by Waste Pro, refuse piles, or other unsightly objects or materials shall not be allowed to be placed or to remain upon the Common Grounds. Garage pick up questions should be addressed with Waste Pro 504-392-4619 or wp4kenner@wasteprousa.com.

  • May I fence my patio?

Patios inside the gated pool area may not be fenced. Patios and adjoining green space on the other side of Paradis Lane may be fenced, but a gate must be left for access by landscape gardeners and other personnel. If a lock is used on the fence, it must be keyed like the pool gates. Be sure to get Association approval for the location and type of fencing desired before having it installed.

  • May I plant flowers around my unit?

No, all flower beds are maintained by our Landscaper. You may contact the Board to request any changes to established beds.

  • Who is responsible for building exteriors?

Since LeMans Village is a community of townhomes, not condominiums, each owner actually owns his/her unit’s exterior and is responsible for maintaining and insuring it, except the Association has the right, not the responsibility, to paint the building exteriors. Exterior changes must have Association approval.
